I think forward to the future; and to things that I've been doing... the project we're doing for the org is not easy. I take the challenge. We're going to this and make it good, really good(!). A friend said to me I've been busy lately. I told him, I like what I'm doing and don't worry I still study. He was concerned 'coz I missed some classes.
*
I remember a friend who shared a quote when I lost at a match - "Sometimes I win, sometimes you lose." I just laughed. I like to play football.
*
I think back to before; and to the things that was said in the past… and I wonder whether you remember… and it pains me to think that you might not…
I wonder whether what happened before, meant more to me, than it did to you...Does it still matter what I wonder and what happened before?

I'm so excited and also so worried on our upcoming event (visit www.smedlsu.rules.it). Our plan at first is to just make a concert/party celebration for MEM's (Manufacturing Engineering Department) 20th anniversary. But, it turned out to be a fundraising event. Why? Because the school doesn't allow any concert activities to be approved that simple. They're loking for a good reason/purpose of the concert before its granted. And most of the time a fundraising or charity concert related event is approved easily. The other reason why we made the project a fundraising event is that we thought we could also earn (if we're able to) from the ticket sales.

My uncle was concerned about the expenses we're going to have. Actually, that's the problem we're trying to fix. EXPENSES. We need moolah, ka-ching, those green stuffs. The worst thing that's going to happen here in this project is that we'll only reach a break-even. And I'm hoping that wont happen. I don't want that to happen. It's less that three weeks before the event and I feel that I'm not exerting much effort but I know I'm trying to do what I can for this event to happen. This is going to be the first ever biggest event of our org. And this is what I want to give to the org, batchmates, classmates, friends before our term as officers end. Pare, we'll make this possible.

Exhausted, without the strength to search for the last hope to go on. People fade into the infinite darkness. As we live on, we lose a little bit more. Shrouded in falsehoods , lies and unknowing facts, I stand frozen to the spot, unable to cry out on what I'm feeling about everything.

Sometimes I sit down to think of something to write or to draw, and I think of something to write or draw; then, I write or draw it. Sometimes I sit down to think of something to write, and I can't think of anything to write; then, I write about not being able to think of anything to write, but in doing so I find something to write, and so this is making no sense at all. I am sorry

So many things has happened and so much more is going to happen (good and bad)

=)

=(

thank you

happy =)

Ended the 28 drought at 82

Although I watched the game on TV, Araneta was brimming with Bedans young and old. All, believing, clinging to the hope that this may be the year. And indeed it is our year.. strike that, let this be our decade. What a game it was, perhaps the finest that I've seen. One cannot ask for more from our Lions and the Bedan Community. Hats off to the PCU Sardines.. i mean Dolphines for making us earn this game. It all tastes a lot sweeter when you literally had to claw for the elusive NC crown. It was almost unreal, the Ekwe turnover, the Belga miss and the final carom of Aljamal. What a close call. Then the seconds melted to zero. Then time stood still with the game clock. Break out the cervezas my fellow Bedans, for tonight we all sleep as CHAMPIONS!

Now that the drought has ended lets flood the NCAA with more championship!!! This is just the beginning!!! Go San Beda Fight!!!

term break

A faint impression, and a distant memory of a short but enjoyable time well-spent. Friends. Where would you be without them? The day drudges on, and the stress begins to overwhelm. It's one of those days. Some accomplishments are harder to fulfill, but they work out. Eventually. It's the end of a day. Exhaustion seeps in, but sleep doesn't come. As easily as it should. And then you realise, every subconscious moment was infused with thoughts of her. It's odd, this feeling. So enigmatic and so poignant.

From Laguna to Tagaytay
This is how i only enjoyed my term-break. We went to Jon's resort in Calamba, Laguna last September 6 and spent the night at Herbie's villa in Tagaytay. While some of my friends had their own outing at Davao. I hope next time we could have another outing with a complete attendance so I could show them my new diving style (hehe). And I also want to experience Davao. =)

hug

Unconditional, mutual love. It is, simultaneously, a lot to ask for and not much at all.
I am a realistic optimist. What I am looking for, I’m not sure exists. Still, I hope I am blessed enough to prove myself wrong.
Many of my family and friends are struggling these days too. We all need strength and faith. We need to support one another.

Earlier this morning I was able to try a different kind of noodle dish courtesy of Da's mom. I went to Sarah's place so we could go straight to the shirt factory and close the deal. Da was with us on our way back to Sarah's. He brought what Sarah says as the birthday misua. I'm not familiar with the dish. From what I know misua is served with broth and has no mushrooms, clams, egg, etc. It may look different but it tasted good. I actually like it. I helped them in their Prodlab project, just a little photo manipulation with Adobe was needed to make a more realistic look on the products they designed in Catia. Tomorrow I'd better work on my projects.

So after that I went to our house at N.S., Q.C. with my tito. We payed a visit at my mom's house. It needs a lot of fixing. So we went to the clubhouse office but no one's around coz of the holiday. Just great. We went home and I bought Pancit Malabon for my lola. Pancit and Misua..hmm for long life? And then tito bought ice cream but it was Ube flavored lola's favorite but not mine. It should be my day but I thought about lola and what she could eat. Old people especially those who are sickly old should watch the food they eat.

Kudos to me. And about that hug..hmm

TwenTEEN

I take opportunities like this to write whatever's going through my mind without sieving any thoughts that run through my head. pardon me for any grammatical errors or sentence structure problems. i'm like 1/3 high on happiness and beer now.

I love what's going on in my life currently. Ya, I think I'm happy. Though sometimes I myself am not too sure what consist of my actual life now, but it seems like I'm having a more positive attitude to living than before. I used to be stiff, negative, careless, distressed and thought dark thoughts (but not too much).

I have a new hope in life now. Something I'll look forward to. Something in suspense but beautifully pathed for me.

I gotta thank God for my life and i know He will mold it in a shape that I will never thought i'll be more comfortable in. Which makes me think of visiting the church..I haven't been there for a long time. I also gotta thank my Mom..I miss her so much including Raghad. I hope to see you soon!

I'd like to thank my classmates and friends who were with me awhile ago. I had fun even though we weren't complete coz I wasn't able to inform the others but there's gonna be a next time.

Maraming Salamat sa inyo J-than, Herbie, Gary, Wanda, Art, Michael, Kevin, Lagmay, Ronnie, Dan, Cliff, Madz, Chrisette, Gavin, Sarah, Da, Berjoy, RD, Hanzel, Armyn, Clang!

Pati sa mga Malate - Thea, Rizza, Ray, Reggie, Adrianne, Ato, Sunny, Meg, Bella, Yot, TQ at sa ibang gate crashers!

What sorta goes on in my mind

I think of what happened in the past few days.
I think of what's going to happen next.
I think in English most of the time.
I talk in Filipino 80% of the time.
I talk online in English 20 % of the time.
I dream in English 50% Filipino 30% abstract 20%.
The books I read are in English 100% of the time.
The movies I watch are in English 100% of the time.
Most of the programs I use is in English and one in Japanese.
I blog in English 95% Filipino 5%.
I think before I say a word.
I stutter or pause when talking, sometimes because I can’t think of that Filipino word or that appropriate English, but mostly because I’m not really good at talking.
I've got a lot of things to do and I'm not making a move.
I wonder if this status will change in the future.

Kudos to Italy

The Azzurri won the FIFA World Cup for the fourth time after holding their nerves in a dramatic penalty shoot-out. For their performances in the group stages, Round of 16, quarter-finals and semis, football fans all over the world would agree that Marcello Lippi's side were worthy winners of the competition.

sleepless tuesday

Yesterday Barnard invited me to watch the match between Brazil v.s Ghana and France v.s Spain at FRIDAYs(TGIF). But instead of spending 450 Pesos at TGIF, we watched the games at the Blue Eagle Gym and spent 150 Pesos for the ticket. I heard that there's a spot at Greenbelt that shows live World Cup matches for free. I'm not sure though, but I think you'll only have to pay for the foods and drinks they serve. I still have to find it out. I met Barnard's high school friend Ash and her younger brother. Both of them are studying at U.P. Diliman. So, there were four of us who watched the game at the gym. The Brazil and Ghana match started at 11pm and ended around 1am. The next match between France ang at Spain started 3am. Then we decided to grab a bite at Mcdonalds and and wait there until 2am and go back, so we could watch some highlights before the France and Spain match begins. Brazil won 3- nil and France by 3-1. I don't mind if it was shown here so early in the morning. What's important is that I enjoyed it. I was able to go home at around 6am, took a bath and went straight to school to review for a test. I'm so excited to watch another match.

IOTA 1 - 0 THESIS PANELIST

There's NO time to celebrate. Well, I guess a few drinks and cheers just to celebrate the success isn't bad enough. The panelists didn't say it directly but they gave us a hint that the proposal was approved when they told us to improve some parts of Chapter 1 of our thesis proposal. I feel sorry to those who's thesis proposal was rejected. I just hope that they have a back-up plan. As for our group, we have to make some experiments, quantify our assumptions, study the manual process and the design, and canvas for parts. There's a lot to do, time to get busy.

Road to Thesis Defense

Our Thesis: A Design of a Programmable Semi-Automatic Spot Welding Machine with a Single Axis Traversing Table/Jig

Things to do: Make a Thesis Defense presentation
Medium: Flash or PowerPoint

The defense is scheduled this coming Friday and we weren't given any instructions yet on what to put on our presentation. Isn't that great huh.
This morning, Team Iota (my thesis group) had a meeting at Eng walk. We discussed about the possible questions the panelists might ask as. So, we generated this list of questions and planned to practice answering them on our mock thesis defense proposal. We found some flaws in our thesis..most of them in the technical part. Our next meeting will be tomorrow. We only get to meet during lunch breaks.

Good luck IOTA!!! We can do this!

..Now back to the presentation.

Amazing Numerology To Predict The 2OO6 FIFA World Cup Winner

(You don't have to buy this theory)
Brazil won the world cup in 1994. Before that, he had won this title for the last time in 1970. If you add up:

1970 + 1994 = 3964

Argentina won the world cup for the last time in 1986. Before that only in 1978. And:

1978 + 1986 = 3964

Germany, though, won the world cup in 1990. Before that, Germany won in 1974. Look:

1990 + 1974 = 3964

This could lead us to guess the winner of the World Cup in 2002, since it should be the winner of the 1962 World Cup. In fact:

3964 - 2002 = 1962

And Brazil won the world cup in 1962! And, in fact, Brazil won the 2002 World Cup.
This numerology seems to work. And now, who would be the winner of the 2006 World Cup? Let’s see:

3964 - 2006 = 1958

And who won in 1958? Oh, Brazil did!!!

feverish

World Cup fever

Yay! 2006 World Cup has started! If you are not aware that we are in the middle of the World Cup, you must be living under a rock! Even here in the Philippines, where soccer is far from the most popular sport, you'll find people (like me) suddenly claiming national heritages you never realized they had - especially if "their" team/teams happens to be winning. So far, the teams that I've been cheering for has been doing good for the first week of the event.

Unfortunately, I haven't watched a game. I just got a glimpse of one match between Potugal and Iran because my uncle was watching a stupid wrestling show. The cable TV we have wont give us live telecast of the game sometimes even replays. Last week, I planned to watch the opening even if it was a replay. What was on the sports channel was a boring golf game. I waited for 1:00am just for nothing. So, I called the cable TV and the operator told me to subscribe for a paperview. For 6,000 pesos I could enjoy watching the game for the entire season. Come on! That's just not practical. Despicable act! Pwe! Once every four years of World Cup, they sure know how to make money. If only I knew this would happen, I should have switched to Destiny. So, I call all SkyFlakes subscribers and especially the Football fans, to BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT!!! So, who's with me? err..Nobody? OK, well mabye not.. I just hope that our country could compete on the next World Cup.

Buddy system

Finally, someone who I could talk to in school about the World Cup. In high school, during the 2002 World Cup season in Korea and Japan, I was the only guy in our class who was watching the game. I suppose therea were also few from our class and from the others, but I don't talk to them about the matches. So anyway, Barnard (World Cup buddy, who created a fantasy league at Yahoo and invited me to join, but I still haven't joined his league) found out that Mandarin Oriental (Makati) and Fridays is showing World Cup games live and uncut! The drawback, The fee costs 350 pesos. It's quite expensive though, but it's consumable... We planned to watch the finals in Fridays, Robinson's Malate. Got to start saving! I have a lot to spend (ouch) this term...

For Carlo:

1. I like that you are open to and eager about learning.
2. Hmmm, I dunno. A rock song I guess because I know that you like rock. I can't think of a specific song because I don't really listen to rock music.
3. Yup, 7:30 a.m. because that is when our class would start. =)
4. Hmmm, "brooding" I think. (You're the "dark" and "silent type" it seems.)
5. Hahaha! I think it is that telephone conversation we had about your "problem." Remember that? =P
6. BLACK
7. I wonder how you have grown and changed over the years. I haven't seen you in almost three years!

football//futbol//fussball

The world comes into a standstill every four years for the greatest sport event in history. I'm talking about football (the most beautiful game) and the World Cup 2006 which is going to take place at Germany starting this June! woot! woot! After the successful World Cup 2002 which was hosted by Korea and Japan (a first ever to happen), FIFA officials promised that they're going to bring the sport to a new level (I read that a gold plated ball will be used at the cup finals) . Fans all over the world will surely enjoy this year's greatest sport event. I hope i could at least watch a live match. sigh

market days

Deck, when is your next gig going to happen? I told you, this time I'll make it at your show. And, tell me if Ginga FC's going to have a clinic ok!

Last April, I saw a friend in the newspaper promoting another jeans innovation, the Engineered Jeans, a denim pair designed for flexibility and ease and a two day event that was going to happen at the Fort. This wasn't the first time I saw Dedick in an ad. Deck and Niño, I've seen in some ads and so their group. They both are part of a pinoy-based street basketball, the Flipballaz. It's different this kind of basketball style that they have created. They make these jaw-dropping, amazing moves so easy for them. I remember Niño back in high school showing his moves at the basketball gym to anyone who wishes to challenge him one-one. Grade school, high school and college students would gather around him and his opponent forming a huge crowd. He started this Flipballaz along with Dedick and Decky. It was only when we reached college that they've become well-known. It's amazing what your passion on things you love the most can do. They started out first just playing and having fun on court and now slowly and surely their making waves, capturing the attention of people who has loved the conventional sport of basketball. Well, I haven't forgotten about it Deck what you've told me before about passion, dreams, goals and other stuff. You're living it and kudos to you! Keep it up!

The two day event at the Fort was an exciting experience. It was filled with actoin-packed, fun and challenging activities. I told myself and I promised Deck and Decky that I'll be on their activity. Before, I used to make promises that I would go to their gigs. But, often times break them by not showing up. I was at the event with my cousin on the second day. To join the event, which they called a "camp", you have to register and join an activity. It's either you join the freestyle competition or training (like a boot camp). For the boot camp, experts in each field teach you how to make those freestyle moves and tricks. These experts who mentor camp antendees are young people, most of them at their twenties and some college students, including Dedick and Co. The mentors are chosen to be among the best of the best youths in our country at their own field of interest. As for the competition, well, you get to show your skills in basketball, football or dance and get to win a huge amount of moola! kaching! cash! =) Well, the prize is big for a competition like that. Man, I'm talking about P20,000 for 1st prize! I picked the freestyle football camp, coz I know I'm not that good to join the competition. And besides, I don't like to make mistakes and be laughed at on stage. I later found out that a few joined the competition, which made me realize that I should have at least tried it out. At the camp, I also tried out the dance and wall-climbing. Sadly, I wasn't able to try out the freestyle basketball. There's also this sport (or so it seems like one) which they call zipping. It's like a dance wherein you flung the 'zip' which is a colored string and a ball attached at its end.

We didn't finished the activity cause it was getting late and we have to commute from Taguig to Manila. After watching the competition on football skills, I told Deck that we have to leave. It was fun! I enjoyed it! I learned some tricks, tried a new sport, met nice people and I hope an event like this would happen again.

From a friend

Drenched with every word
I gathered all emotions in my
heart and let it all out with
a loud cry

Silence! Do not feed me in the
world of loneliness
I had enough of it.

Darkness! Do not taunt me
with fear and paranoia.
For I do not need it.

Leave me and
let me find my sanctuary.
It is my hope, my light,
my freedom!

Tonight I sit and stare
up in the stars and wondered
where I should be and what I
should do.

But the world is on me
an I have nothing else to
do and nowhere else to go
I am to stay here in the painful
and lonely realm of life.
